The 52nd annual Western Conference of Veterinary Diagnostic Pathologists is a two-day, case-based meeting supported by the Western College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Veterinary Pathology and Prairie Diagnostics Services, Inc.

The WCVDP brings together veterinary pathologists and trainees from Western Canada, the northwest United States and other locations to discuss interesting diagnostic material and share ideas on a related theme in veterinary pathology.


Pathology of the Alimentary Tract in Domestic Animals (Classic, unudual, and emerging diseases involving the mucous membrane-lined tube of the digestive system of domestic animals.

Guest Moderator:

Dr. Francisco Uzal, DVM, PHD, Diplomate ACVP
Dr. Uzal is a Professor of Clinical Diagnostic Pathology at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of California, Davis, and San Bernardino's Branch Chief of the California Animal Health & Food Safety Lab.
Dr. Uzal is an engaging speaker with over 20 years of experience in Veterinary Diagnostic Pathology.  His research focus is on clostridial diseases of animals, and he is the author of number book chapters including Pathology of the Alimentary System in the current edition of Jubb, Kennedy and Palmer's Pathology of Domestic Animals.
