2021 Western Conference of Veterinary Diagnostic Pathologists (WCVDP)

The 52nd annual Western Conference of Veterinary Diagnostic Pathologists is a two-day, case-based meeting supported by the Western College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Veterinary Pathology and Prairie Diagnostics Services, Inc.

The WCVDP brings together veterinary pathologists and trainees from Western Canada, the northwest United States and other locations to discuss interesting diagnostic material and share ideas on a related theme in veterinary pathology.

Theme:

Pathology of bones, joints, hooves, claws and teeth (classic challenging, and unsolved cases in domestic animals).

Guest Moderator:

Dr. Keren Dittmer, PHD, BVSc, Diplomate ACVP
Dr. Dittmer is a senior lecturer in anatomic and clinical veterinary pathology and team manager of pathobiology in the Schol of Veterinary Science at Massey University in New Zealand.  Her intersts are skeletal pathology, Vit D metabolism and genetic diseases and she has published more than 50 peer-reviewed artivles in these areas.  She is also the co-author of the Bones and Joints chapter in Pathology of Domestic Animals, 6th edition and Tumors of bone chapter in the 5th Edition of Tumors of Domestic Animals.
