Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer

The Agilent 2100 Bioanalyzer is a simple benchtop system with ready-to-run kits for a variety of uses.

  • DNA size and quantity: High resolution separation and quantification of DNA down to pg/µL sensitivity
  • RNA quality check with RIN: The industry standard for RNA analysis offering total RNA, mRNA and small RNA's data including RIN algorithm (RNA integrity number)
  • SDS-PAGE replacement for protein analysis: A quick and reliable way to determine the quantity and purity of proteins from Coomassie down to silver stain sensitivity.

Microfluidics use interconnected networks of micro-channels and wells to analyze various sample types. The technology reduces overall space and volume requirements and allows online integration of many workflow steps such as:

  • sample enrichment
  • separation
  • staining
  • de-staining
  • detection.

With the use of microfluidics, users can:

  • dramatically reduce sample and reagent consumption
  • speed up analysis time
  • reduce hands-on activities during sample preparation and data analysis.

The bioanalyzer is the first microfluidic lab-on-a-chip system for the electrophoretic analysis of DNA, RNA and proteins as well as the flow-cytometric analysis of cells. This versatility makes the bioanalyzer an excellent tool for molecular biologists and biochemists.
