Dr. Sonja Ing completed a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree and a Master of Applied Science degree in Biomedical Engineering at the University of Toronto. Next, she earned a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from the Ontario Veterinary College (OVC) in 2022 and then stayed on to complete a one-year small animal rotating internship. 

Dr. Ing gained an interest in veterinary ophthalmology during her graduate studies when she investigated the use of a novel hydrogel as a vitreous substitute as part of her research. Dr. Ing is excited to join the WCVM team and hopes to pursue a residency in veterinary ophthalmology following her specialty ophthalmology internship.
