VETERINARIAN

Looking for the right fit for your enthusiasm and veterinary talents in a supportive, progressive clinic in a great community?  We want to meet you!  North Peace Veterinary Clinic is a busy, mixed animal practice consisting of 75% small animal, 25% beef (cow-calf) and equine.  The "energetic city" of Fort St. John is centered in a fantastic community to live and work in.  Indoor and outdoor recreational opportunities abound, with the mountains only a few hours away.  As a family legacy practice for over 60 years, we are committed to our team, patients and clients.  Strong mentorship and a team philosophy and support system have contributed to our high staff retention rate.  With 6 veterinarians (one starting maternity leave soon) and over 20 support staff, including 11 veterinary technologists, we have a varied, stimulating caseload with opportunities to provide extensive medical and surgical care in a multitude of species.  Our team has experience and passions in acupuncture, dentistry, orthopedics and ultrasound in addition to small and large animal medicine and surgery.  We are committed to mentoring and teaching students, with WCVM and UCVM students regularly spending time with us, either during the summer or on an external rotation.  We offer a recently renovated modern clinic including a large animal facility, dedicated small animal dental suite with dental radiology, computerized medical records, digital radiology, ultrasonography, full IDEXX lab, therapeutic lasers, anesthesia monitoring systems and much more.  Full time veterinarians work a 4 day work week to promote work-life balance.  A mixed animal practitioner is preferred, but we will accommodate species preferences.  Our competitive compensation and benefit package includes a generous hiring bonus, with an exponential incentive for 2 and 3 year contract terms.  Visit npvc.ca and fortstjohn.ca for an introduction to our practice and community.  We would love to share our story and explore your career options in our modern clinic and vibrant, young adult and family-oriented community!
