MIXED ANIMAL VETERINARIAN

Rural mixed animal practice in Alberta seeking 4th +/- 5th veterinarian. New grads welcome.

Get job satisfaction by tackling a wide range of challenging and fun cases all while supported by an amazing team. No two days are ever the same!

Improved QOL through small town living with the convenience of National Parks, mountains, skiing, hiking or the big city all just hours away.

Our main clinic in Mayerthorpe provides wellness and emergency care for small animals, cow/calf, and some equine, small ruminants, camelids, bison and cervids. We also have a busy satellite practice in Whitecourt that sees primarily companion animals.

We might be rural, but that doesn’t mean we practice in the dark ages. Enjoy access to in house lab, digital x-ray (including dental), ultrasound, indoor/heated large animal handling facilities, therapeutic laser, and more.

Average schedule is Monday-Friday 8:30 AM–5 PM and one Saturday a month 9 am–1 pm, with on call split equally between all veterinarians and supported by Animal HealthLink. Get 2 weekdays off in lieu of every weekend worked.

Competitive salary with additional compensation for after hours calls, health coverage, paid CE and time off.

If you want to become your own modern version of James Harriot while part of a team of quick-witted, wildly inappropriate, hard working women, then contact Sarah at mayerthorpevet@gmail.com or 780-786-2000.
