Large Animal Veterinarian Position

Our compassionate and hard-working team is looking to add a fourth large animal vet position. Peterborough Veterinary Services is a 7 doctor mixed animal practice, with a loyal client base and an emphasis on providing courteous, prompt, and top quality veterinary care. Committed to maintaining a positive work environment, we get constant feedback on how well our team of DVMs and support staff work together.

We are especially proud of our strong mentoring program for new and recent grads, which includes scheduled rounds with the large animal team, meetings to assess progress and competency, on-going on the job training one on one with a senior vet, and frequent, in-clinic continuing education sessions.

Duties include mixed farm/food animal, with a truly interesting mix of beef cow-calf, dairy, pleasure equine, and small ruminant; services also provided for backyard poultry, small scale swine, and honeybees. Our varied clientele provides opportunities for both exciting medical and surgical casework, as well as fulfilling inolvement with herd health consultations. On-call split with three current large animal vets, with back-up for new and recent grads. Full time scheduling includes a regular weekday off.
