Veterinarian - DVM (new grads welcome!)

Stony Plain Veterinary Clinic in Stony Plain, Alberta is looking for a Veterinarian (DVM) to join the great team they have.  We welcome new graduates, we have a graduate from 2022 that has received great mentorship from the Director of Medicine and Owner.  The business has been around for years, a newly renovated building and updated medical equipment!  The business is focused on providing patients with affordable and quality medical care.  You'll be surrounded by a team of animal lovers who care greatly for patients.  Check out our new video to learn more: https://www.stonyplainvetclinic.com/.

We are a general practice, but we offer so much more.  From orthopaedic, soft tissue surgery, echocardiograms, abdominal ultrasounds, exotics and emergency services.  No overnights or weekends!

What does the role look like?

  • Surgery
  • Orthopaedic, soft tissue, echocardiograms, abdominal related surgeries, gastrointestinal and more
  • General medical
  • Perform preventative care services
  • Health exams, vaccinations and medical treatments
  • Internal medicine
  • Speaking to clients regarding pet diagnosis, treatment plans, preventative health care and nutritional needs

What are we looking for?

  • A doctor of veterinary medicine (DVM) from an accredited university
  • Registered and in good standing withe the Alberta Veterinary Medical Association (ABVMA)
  • You are a great communicator with clients and internal teams
  • Demonstrating empathy with clients and trying to find solutions for clients based on their situation
  • Great diagnostic and surgery skills
  • A drive to succeed
