Equine Students Assemble! We have 2 summer student positions at Elder's Equine!

Elder's Equine is accepting applications for equine summer students.

Elder's Equine is a full-service equine referral hospital and primary care ambulatory practice located just west of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Our 4.5 veterinarian practice has specialists in equine surgery, equine practice and an anesthesiologist. Our students receive lots of experience with sports medicine, surgery, field/farm practice, reproduction and equine medicine. Experience with TB and SB racing are an asset but not required. Our practice sees a full variety of horses from English and Western disciplines and everything in between. Opportunities to participate in our clinical research projects and programs are available.

We strive to provide the highest quality of equine veterinary care with a commitment to learning and teaching. Our students will have an opportunity to grow and learn. We take a team approach to our cases with RVTs and VAs available to help ensure that our patients receive the best of care. We are looking forward to meeting our summer students who will share this same approach.

The candidate will be enrolled in a DVM degree and have student veterinary licensure capability in Manitoba. Salary will be discussed and application to the Manitoba Government VetSTEP program is required.

Start date is May 2024.
