Dr. Rawlings was the associate dean of research at the WCVM until his retirement in June 2010. He also supervised the endocrine service laboratory, which analyses blood and tissue samples from clinicians and researchers for reproductive and metabolic hormones. This lab is part of Prairie Diagnostic Services at the WCVM.
Dr. Rawlings taught general endocrinology and reproduction at the undergraduate and graduate level. In addition, he had an active research laboratory and graduate/postdoctoral training program.
Dr. Norman Rawlings is the former associate dean of research at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (2002-2010). After 35 years of service at the College, Dr. Rawlings retired on June 30, 2010.
Research Interests
Dr. Rawlings' research interests are in basic and applied aspects of the regulation of ovarian folliculogenesis in sheep and reproductive maturation in beef cattle.
