Karolína completed her undergraduate degree in Animal Protection and Welfare in the Czech Republic and moved to Sweden to pursue a MSc degree in Animal Science. She has spent many summer breaks volunteering at animal sanctuaries and farms around the world. After studying in Canada as an exchange student, Karolína decided to continue her academic endeavours in Saskatchewan.
Her research at the University of Saskatchewan focuses on all aspects of play behaviour in pigs of all ages.
