Research Area(s)

Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) complex is a multi-factorial and economically significant challenge in cattle production. My research integrates controlled respiratory challenge models with transcriptomic approaches to define mucosal and systemic immune signatures associated with both subclinical and clinical infection, with particular emphasis on bovine coronavirus (BCoV).

By investigating viral evolution alongside host immune responses, this work aims to clarify disease progression, This research will also generate actionable insights to improve calf health, support antimicrobial stewardship, and inform more targeted prevention strategies within the beef industry.
