Bovine respiratory disease (BRD) is the costliest disease of beef cattle in North America and the most common reason for antimicrobial use. Our reasearch aims to employ metagenomic DNA sequencing to rapidly detect and diagnose pathogens associated with BRD to inform treatment strategies.
