Bio Summary
Dr. Joel (Joselito) Odquin is a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) graduate from the Philippines and a resident in the Swine Medicine Advancement and Recruitment Training Residency Program for Foreign-Trained Veterinarians (SMART FTV).
With 17 years of experience in swine health and production, his career has been built on practical field experience and a strong commitment to improving pig health, welfare and production outcomes. Dr. Odquin is leading a research project evaluating treatment effectiveness and health outcomes across Canadian swine farms to identify management practices associated with improved herd health and reduced mortality.
He is passionate about swine health and enjoy collaborating with industry professionals, sharing knowledge, and continuously learning to support evidence-based decision-making and innovation in the swine industry.
