2024 Western Conference of Veterinary Diagnostic Pathologists (WCVDP)

The Western Conference of Veterinary Diagnostic Pathologists is a two-day, case-based meeting supported by the Western College of Veterinary Medicine's Department of Veterinary Pathology and Prairie Diagnostics Services, Inc.

The WCVDP brings together veterinary pathologists and trainees from Western Canada, the northwest United States and other locations to discuss interesting diagnostic material and share ideas on a related theme in veterinary pathology.

Dr. Fabio Vannucci, DVM, PhD, MS
Dr. Vannucci is an Associate Professor in the Department of Veterinary Population Medicine at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Minnesota.  He is a diplomate of the Brazilian Association of Veterinary Pathologists.

Case submission:

WCVDP 2024 Case Submission Form 

This year's topic is diseases encountered in pigs.  We are looking for classical, challenging, or unsolved cases in domestic (and wild) pigs. Any pathological process is accepted (e.g. degenerative, infectious, inflammatory, developmental, genetic, neoplastic).  A few slide boxes with the conference cases will be prepared and available for purchase. Slides will also be digitally scanned and available to view for those who have registered for the conference.

Complete the attached form (see link below) when submitting your case and read carefully the type of sample required.  

There are awards for trainee’s presentations. Please indicate in the submission form if you are a trainee.

WCVDP 2024 Registration Form

Cost of registration: $250 per individual or per laboratory/academic unit. Please pre-register prior to Oct 1. We will accept payments via cheque prior or at the time of registration. There will be a banquet Friday night (not included in the registration fee). Lunch is on your own with restaurants around and on campus.
