Profile

Dr. Agnieszka Fracka is a small animal surgery intern at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine. After obtaining her DVM degree, she moved to the United Kingdom and completed a rotating internship at the University of Glasgow, followed by a clinical orthopedic assistantship at a private referral practice in England. Next, she accepted a junior clinician role in small animal orthopedics at the University of Cambridge, with primary responsibility for clinical teaching.

Dr. Fracka moved to the United States where she completed a surgery internship at Washington State University and then conducted orthopedic research combined with a master's program at Michigan State University. Dr. Fracka also recently obtained postgraduate certificates: one in small animal surgery and the second in emergency and critical care. 

Her current research focuses on two main areas:

  • investigating and enhancing I-Loc technique
  • improving total joint replacement procedures and investigating ways to improve post-operative recovery and long-term function
Dr. Fracka's goal is to help advance orthopedic care, improve patient mobility, and enhance overall quality of life for animals suffering from joint-related diseases.
