Benedict Ong Huai Ern

Dr. Benedict Ong received his DVM and MVM degrees at the University of Putra Malaysia. He then completed a PhD in veterinary anesthesiology at the University of Miyazaki, Japan. Dr Ong is part of the translation team of the feline grimace scale website and the International Academy of Veterinary Pain Management (IVAPM).

Dr. Ong worked as a senior lecturer at the University of Putra Malaysia. He is a committee member of the global dental committee of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA) and a member of the IVAPM's board of directors.

He has been an invited speaker at the WSAVA Global Community Congress 2021, IVAPM-Live talk, Singapore Vet Show 2022 and Congress of the Federation of Asian Veterinary Association (FAVA) 2023 as well as regional workshops and seminars in Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Philippines and Thailand.
