Dr. Thamires Marques is from Belo Horizonte, Minas Gerais, Brazil. After graduating from high school, she attended the Federal University of Lavras (Lavras, Minas Gerais, Brazil), where she completed her bachelor's degree in veterinary medicine.

After graduation, Dr. Marques completed a two-year residency in small animal surgery at the Federal University of Viçosa (UFV).
