Profile

Dr. MaFer Uribe earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree with honors from the National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM) in 2017. She then completed a two-and-a-half-year specialty program in Small Animal Medicine and Surgery at UNAM, graduating in 2020.

After working in private practice in Mexico, Dr. Uribe completed a rotating internship at Kansas State University and is now a resident in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM).

Her short-term goals include becoming a board-certified specialist in Small Animal Internal Medicine and obtaining a Master of Science degree. Her current research focuses on the clinical utility of copeptin as a biomarker in dogs, with broader interests in endocrinology, hematology, and immunology. She is also committed to contributing to the advancement of veterinary medicine in her country through clinical research and evidence-based medicine.
