Research Interests
My research project consists of investigating competition among strains of the Lyme Disease bacterium, Borrelia Burgdorferi (Bb), within the reservoir host (mice), in addition to, the role of the host immune response in the prevalence and abundance of B. burgdorferi in host tissues. Both topics explore how competition and the immune response influence the transmission of Bb to feeding ticks.
