Dale Godson is a diagnostic veterinary microbiologist at Prairie Diagnostic Services (PDS) and an adjunct professor in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology at the Western College of Veterinary Medicine (WCVM), University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

Research Interests

Dr. Godson’s interests are in the areas of virology and immunology, which began with his PhD studies of viral calf diarrhea. He continued working in the areas of immunology and host defense to infectious diseases as a research scientist at the Veterinary Infectious Disease Organization.  He returned to the Dept. of Veterinary Microbiology to do research on antibody-based immune therapies, before moving into his current diagnostic role, where he is also involved in diagnostic test development and validation.
