Dr. Jennifer Porter graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2004 and has had a varied career in clinical practice, as well as time working for the UK National Health Service. She is a Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Practice at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Surrey, and is predominantly involved in the running of final-year intramural rotations across a distributed model. She has postgraduate certificates in veterinary education and veterinary acupuncture and a postgraduate diploma in clinical animal behaviour, and she continues to offer clinical referral services alongside teaching. Her educational interests lie in communication, pastoral care and the transition from veterinary student to vet in practice. She also really loves Canada.
