An introduction to coaching and how we can use the skills every day. The exploration of two simple models: the GROW model and Thinking Outside the Box. Workshop includes group work (groups of three) to try out the skills. 

This workshop is designed to be very informal and requires attendees to participate. Limited spots available (first come, first served approach for registration). 

Dr. Jennifer Porter graduated from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2004 and has had a varied career in clinical practice, as well as time working for the UK National Health Service. She is a Lecturer in Veterinary Clinical Practice at the School of Veterinary Medicine, University of Surrey, and is predominantly involved in the running of final-year intramural rotations across a distributed model. She has postgraduate certificates in veterinary education and veterinary acupuncture and a postgraduate diploma in clinical animal behaviour, and she continues to offer clinical referral services alongside teaching. Her educational interests lie in communication, pastoral care and the transition from veterinary student to vet in practice. She also really loves Canada.
