Before joining the WCVM Veterinary Medical Centre, Tammy was part of the Saskatchewan Health Authority's leadership team. She served as director of quality and safety for Saskatoon with the departments of patient safety, client concerns, occupational health and safety, and quality improvement.
Tammy has worked in human health care for 22 years as a front-line nurse, clinical nursing instructor and manager. She brings years of experience in leadership and system improvement as well as patient and staff safety. She was involved in the 10-year planning and subsequent move into the Jim Pattison Children’s Hospital, and she served as the safety officer for the Saskatoon Integrated Health Incident Command Centre during the pandemic.
