Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission

The Saskatchewan Canola Development Commission (SaskCanola) was established in 1991 as a grower-led organization to develop the canola industry in the province.

About

SaskCanola collects a levy from registered Saskatchewan canola growers to fund research and extension initiatives, advocate for favourable policy at both the provincial and national levels, and develop market opportunities domestically and internationally.

SaskCanola is an integral member of the highly developed and strategic canola network. The network includes grower and industry organizations that collaborate to meet growers’ needs for profitability and sustainability.

Each member of the network has specific roles and responsibilities that contribute to the overall success of the canola industry, while preventing and eliminating overlap. This allows the industry to be more effective and efficient in using levy funds.
