HIRING: ASSOCIATE EQUINE VETERINARIAN
Delaney Veterinary Services is looking for a new equine veterinarian to join our team. We are a premier equine only hospital, located in Sherwood park, Alberta. DVS is a full service facility that covers both primary and referral cases for most of western Canada.
At Delaney’s we offer the opportunity for veterinarians to practice high quality medicine with the luxury of multiple Board Certified Surgeons (DACVS) and several highly experienced general practitioners. We have a fully equipped surgery suite with two recovery boxes where we perform both elective and emergency surgeries. We offer a lameness locator and both indoor and outdoor arenas for performing lameness exams. We have 8 ICU stalls, 12 in patient/ reproduction stalls, and 2 isolation stalls. Our reproduction program performs both collection and insemination of fresh and frozen semen. We commonly perform advanced dentistry, general health exams, spinal adjustment, acupuncture, rehabilitation, and advanced imaging.
On-call hours are divided amongst the clinicians (5) and interns (2) at the hospital. We have full time support staff, including evening technicians, as well as many part-time staff, students, externs, and volunteers. To further reduce after hours workload all ICU stalls come equipped with night vision cameras, which can be monitored by phone, or computer, from your home or bed ( 😊).
We are looking for an energetic veterinarian who is willing to work 4-5 days per week (flexible). On-call schedule would consist of 1 night per week and 1 every 3 weekends. The salary package is negotiable based on experience and workload. Base salary starts at $100,000. Associates also receive 20% commission on all professional fees over $500,000 . We also provide a yearly C.E. allowance, clothing allowance, ABVMA & CVMA dues.
