VCA Canada Animal Hospitals are currently recruiting for Veterinary Technologists to join our amazing teams in Western and Eastern Canada. You will have an opportunity to use your skills to their fullest potential! It's okay if you are not fully comfortable with all the procedures you learned in school - we will provide the training and mentorship you need to help hone your skills and help you specialize in the areas you’re passionate about!
Requirements:
· Currently attending or have completed a Veterinary Technologist or Animal Health Technologist Diploma program
· Knowledge of physical examinations, patient assessment, catheter placement, anesthesia
monitoring, radiology, venipuncture, and pharmacy monitoring and patient assessment
· Knowledge of surgical preparation, surgical assistance, and patient recovery
· Ability to keep detailed and accurate patient records
· Compassionate care for our hospitalized patients and their pet parents
· Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
· Ability to problem-solve or the ability to ask clarifying questions to help you find solutions
· Exceptional interpersonal skills in working with your colleagues and pet parents
· Passion to learn more within the role
· A love for all companion animals!!
