Western College of Veterinary Medicine

VETERINARIAN EMPLOYMENT

The Williams Lake Veterinary Hospital is seeking a veterinarian interested in joining our veterinary team in a collaborative and supportive work environment.  Let the Cariboo be your backyard while you work and play in our semi-rural area with unique down to earth clientele!  There is mentorship available to expand your abilities, regardless of your interest and experience level.

As a team, we aim for preventive medicine and diagnostic-guided management of medical and surgical cases. Dentistry is an ever-expanding area of our small animal practice. Our equine practice also continues to grow. As we are 6 hours away from the nearest referral center, there will be opportunities to practice all of your skills.

Please contact us to arrange an interview and tour. We would love for you to come see our family friendly, privately run practice.

COMMUNITY

Located in the heart of the Cariboo Chilcotin region, Williams lake is the gateway to a large part of BC's untouched scenic wilderness, with many guest ranches, resorts and historical sites. The city is best known for being the home of the world-class Williams Lake Stampede. Cultural and festive events are frequent throughout the year, and there is no limit to recreational opportunities available. Several lakes and rivers within a short drive of town make fishing, rafting and kayaking/canoeing popular here. Hikers, mountain bikers and horseback riders can enjoy the nature trails and surrounding forests and hillsides. Winter activities such as snowshoeing, cross country skiing, and games of pond hockey are also popular. Not only does the city offer many of the desired amenities, but the locals appreciate a cost-of-living that is much lower than in a larger center.
