Western College of Veterinary Medicine

Overview

Looking for a practice where relationships matter, quality medicine comes first, and you can build a long-term career, not just fill a position?

Our family-owned small animal private practice has been serving Northwest Richmond, Virginia for more than 55 years. We've built a reputation for compassionate medicine, loyal clients, and a supportive team culture that's stood the test of time.

Today, we're looking for an additional Associate Veterinarian to join our growing team.

With three well-established hospital locations to choose from, you'll have the opportunity to practice in the environment that best fits your professional goals and personal lifestyle. Whether you prefer a close-knit community practice or a busier setting with a broader caseload, we'll work with you to find the location where you'll thrive.

Our Clinics:

  • 3 established, multi-doctor hospitals to choose from
    • Practice at a single location- no rotating required
  • No weekends!
  • Collaborative team that values communication and respect
  • Strong, loyal client base that allows doctors to build lasting relationships
  • High-quality medicine with the autonomy to practice your way

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Competitive salary based on experience + quarterly performance bonuses
  • Annual profit-sharing plan
  • Employer-paid health insurance
  • Dental, vision, and ancillary insurance available
  • 401(k) with a 3% employer match
  • Generous PTO
  • Annual CE allowance
  • Paid licensure, AVMA membership, and PLIT reimbursement
  • Complimentary pet care services and products at cost

Our practice combines the stability of a long-established hospital with the flexibility and personal attention only a privately owned practice can provide. Our leadership believes in trusting doctors, investing in their success, and creating a workplace where people genuinely enjoy coming to work every day.

If you're looking for a practice where you can build meaningful client relationships, practice quality medicine alongside an experienced team, and enjoy the freedom to make a lasting impact, we'd love to start a conversation.
