Seafair Animal Clinic and Ironwood Animal Hospital are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Associate Veterinarian to join our reputable veterinary practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong passion for animal health and welfare, along with excellent clinical skills. This role offers an opportunity to work in a collaborative environment where patient care and client communication are prioritized.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough physical examinations of animals to assess health status
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions in small animals
  • Perform surgical procedures, including spaying, neutering, soft tissue surgeries, COHAT's, etc.
  • Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs
  • Educate pet owners on preventive care, nutrition, and wellness strategies
  • Maintain accurate and detailed medical records in compliance with veterinary standards
  • Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to ensure high-quality patient care
  • Recommend laboratory testing and interpret results to inform diagnoses and treatments

Requirements:

  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited institution
  • Valid veterinary license to practice in the province of BC
  • Strong communication skills for effective client interactions and team collaboration
  • Compassionate approach towards animals and their owners
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with veterinary advancements
  • Doctoral Degree (preferred)

Pay: CA$85,000.00 - CA$175,000.00 per year
