Horizon Equine Veterinary Clinic in Abbotsford, BC — located just outside Vancouver — is looking to hire a veterinary student for the summer of 2027! Our practice operates across the Lower Mainland and coastal British Columbia, delivering care through a combination of ambulatory field work and a fully equipped hospital.

Our caseload is broad and clinically diverse, encompassing performance medicine, lameness evaluation, internal medicine, reproductive services, routine and advanced dental surgery, wellness and preventative care, diagnostics, emergency coverage, and complementary therapies including acupuncture and veterinary spinal manipulation. This is a role well-suited to students who want hands-on experience in a busy, high- quality equine practice.

We welcome applications from veterinary students who have completed a minimum of one year of veterinary school by May 2027. This is a paid position with the added benefit of mentorship and learning provided by our five veterinarians and competent team of support staff. We are committed to making this a quality learning experience for our student.

Abbotsford is ideally situated in the Fraser Valley, a short drive from Vancouver, the US border, and Thunderbird Show Park in Langley — one of North America’s premier equestrian facilities. The surrounding region offers some of the best hiking, skiing, coastline, and outdoor life that North America has to offer, with easy access to the mountains and the Okanagan.
