Basic steps to forming a square knot

  • position model so incision is vertical and the yellow strand is to left of the incision
  • first throw
    • needle holders placed on incision
    • wrap needle holders around yellow strand
    • grasp end of blue strand
    • pull blue strand to left, yellow strand to right
  • second throw
    • needle holders on incision
    • wrap needle holders around yellow strand
    • grasp end of blue strand
    • pull blue strand to right
